Megapolis is a series of 4 documentaries that aims to bring back to life 4 great cities of Antiquity.

History is closely linked to urbanization and progress. While cultures differ, cities have nonetheless grown and evolved by obeying the same human dynamic, with progress aimed at improving their life in society. These similarities in development invite us to take emblematic cities as a starting point for a discovery of the societies of the past. Focusing on the greatest cities of Antiquity helps us to better understand the admirable universal heritage that was left to the men of today.
Thanks to LIDAR remote sensing technology, great progress has been made in understanding the Tikal site. Teams of scientists from around the world continue to discover the wonders of this city.
The documentary mixes real images shot on site with 3D reconstruction in post-production.
