Synopsis
The globetrotter sets off to experiment with different types of transport in Colombia, a South American state where trains are rare. In the isolated, agricultural region of Antioquia, motomesas, curious machines, enable a few passengers to make short journeys on rails. Philippe Gougler also discovers a system of cable cars made from odds and ends in the middle of nowhere. And once in Bogotá, the capital, the adventurer climbs a funicular before taking an old-fashioned train.
The review
« As usual, Philippe Gougler is very enthusiastic during this attractive Colombian escapade, which counters certain clichés about the country. And even if he has a few scares in the cable cars, the traveler is always in good spirits. The warmth of the people he meets also contributes to a pleasant stay.
