Mediafixer is a complete team dedicated to local executive production to ensure the success of your films (short, feature, series…), wherever they may be in Latin America.
During shoots, we generally perform the following tasks (depending on requirements)
Shooting locations
Suggest potential shooting locations based on the scenario’s needs
Scouting
Manage the various scouting operations on site to get as close as possible to the scenario
Castings
Manage local castings to find the right actors or extras
Authorizations / Refunds
Management of various filming authorizations, tax credits, refunds, etc. Film commission, customs, drone, etc…
Film crew
Director, art director, DOP, sound engineer, droner, translator, set builder, stuntmen, VFX…, and all the other necessary technical positions (electricians, lighting, hair and make-up, …)
Logistic
Total management of logistics during the shoot (transport, accommodation, food, etc.)
Cultural context
Explain to crews the social and cultural contexts of shooting locations, the customs and traditions to be respected
Translations
Translation between the various participants in the film if necessary
Unforeseen
Adapt in real time to unforeseen situations that may arise during filming.

Context : Reconstructed settings evoke the daily life of the Maya empire during its heyday (between 250 and 900 AD). They built pyramids, temples and sophisticated cities. Their culture was rich and complex, and they left a particularly exceptional legacy.
Pre-production
3 months of upstream preparation. Film and drone commission permits, customs management. Management and supervision of creative trades: art director, set design team, lighting team. Coordination of all scenes.
Casting
Actors and extras: 30 people
Shooting
7 days of shooting divided between studio and location. Crew coordination. Live translation.
